very bright, perfect match with yellow 5mm LED
These red LEDs are really bright. Do have the right amount of light for indicating purposes with just 2mA of current! VERY bright with just 10mA. The yellow LEDs in 5mm are a perfect match in light output. Connected in series with each other (current is exactly the same!) they will have an equal light output. For this price, a really UNBEATABLE offer!!

These LEDs are all from the same batch. This means that they put out the same levels of light. The voltage drop across the PN junction is well matched from one LED to the next. Sometimes when you buy a bag of bones they tend to have varying levels of brightness. Consistent millicandela levels, or MCD -- is highly desirable in projects that implement many LEDs, such as moving message displays etc ...
