I really like these jacks, but like chris I noticed they had a difficult time getting them to fit completely. I used them in a 1590BB box I got here, and I too had to use a few spare washers to get them to fit. Other than that, though, they are a great price, and they hold on to the plug nicely. I am going to get the other kind next time, though, the ones with the plastic sleeve. Those look like they'll tighten up completely. But yeah, just be aware these may not fit you box properly... Just wish chris's review was here when I had gotten them.

stomp box builders beware, these jacks will not secure firmly to any of the 1590-style and other pedal enclosures sold on the Tayda site.

with the addition of an extra plastic or metal washer , it's possible to make the jack work as intended - the problem is that without an extra washer, there is not enough thread depth in the plastic jack to acommodate the metal screw-in fastener, so it bottoms out before the jack can be tightened firmly in the enclosure.

it would be nice if an extra plastic flat washer was provided with the single one that comes with the jack (the second washer that comes with the jack is for the external metal fastener that screws into the plastic jack).

i happened to have some extra metal washers laying around, and they did the trick - however, overtightening the jack can cause the plastic threads to strip, so be careful.
