They're not a BC548 (high bandwidth, excellent small signal gain) nor are they a BC337 (excellent beta and continuous IC) -- they actually fall somewhere in between. If beta is a problem then just pair two of them together to create a super transistor / darlington A nice bag of bones for the money. Highly recommend.
