I built my own RGB controller and it worked great with it. The LED's are placed at a higher density than strips available from other places, which means more consistent light. At full colour 5m draws 1.5-1.6A. This strip is non-addressable and requires an RGB controller to mix colours. From the limited testing i've done its a very good product, it is indeed waterproof.
