Product Review (submitted on September 30, 2013):

I keep a decent stockpile of TLC272, TLC274, and TLC279 as they are good to have around. They're a step up from the LM324 and their only real downside is that they're not RRIO. I'm not an expert on analog electronics, but I would say these are suitable for applications up to 1MHz, assuming you need gain. They are good for low-power applications as they are CMOS devices. I have used them for pH sensors, which reminds me to mention that they're high input impedance is useful (again, CMOS).
If you're looking for an amplifier to run off of 3.3V and give you useful dynamic range, look for something that has RRIO, or at least rail-to-rail output. I made this mistake with the pH sensor initially. See the datasheet.
Price is good, but the attractiveness wanes if you wanted to buy in quantity since Tayda doesn't have quantity pricing on most items.
