these things are great, especially on circuits you might want to change components on, e.g. LEDs and their resistors... use these to make ad-hock sockets on an otherwise standard solder perfboard. very handy. even more handy for circuit benders, and if you use devices that are not so great for standard DIP sockets and pin headers
