is still a header. These are your standard machine-pin 40 pin headers (the type you can break off using wire cutters or fingernail clippers) at a cheap press-pin header price. They work exactly as you expect them to. Great for making DIP sockets (just use two single lines), switchable components (such as capacitors mentioned in another review), quick wire points for solid core wire, etc.
