handythese things are great, especially on circuits you might want to change components on, e.g. LEDs and their resistors... use these to make ad-hock sockets on an otherwise standard solder perfboard. very handy. even more handy for circuit benders, and if you use devices that are not so great for standard DIP sockets and pin headers

A header by any other name...is still a header. These are your standard machine-pin 40 pin headers (the type you can break off using wire cutters or fingernail clippers) at a cheap press-pin header price. They work exactly as you expect them to. Great for making DIP sockets (just use two single lines), switchable components (such as capacitors mentioned in another review), quick wire points for solid core wire, etc.

HelpfulNip to any size. Now, swap component values easily. Be aware, very small cap and resistor leads don't fit snug.
